Job Description

Careerscape is recruiting for a Honolulu financial services company that needs a Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance and risk management. You'll develop policies, conduct audits, and ensure the organization meets all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Develop and update compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments
  • Provide compliance training to employees
  • Investigate potential compliance violations
  • Report compliance status to senior management
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and examinations
  • Review marketing materials for compliance
  • Stay current with changing regulations and requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of compliance experience in financial services
  • Strong knowledge of banking or securities regulations
  • Understanding of AML, BSA, and consumer protection laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
  • Compliance certification preferred but not required
