Decision Support Data Analyst Intern / Monday-Friday part-time Summary/Objective The Decision Support Data Analyst Intern will gain exposure to how administrative healthcare teams utilize analytics and data gathering activities in a medical imaging environment. This position will observe and assist in identifying key business metrics through various reporting methods. The primary focus of this internship is to provide a brief glimpse into how data analytics adds value to a radiology organization to achieve goals and objectives.
Essential Functions - Analyzes and compiles new reporting from multiple sources while ensuring the information is complete, accurate, and meaningful.
- Assists in generating basic weekly and monthly reporting related to Radiology Operations, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, or Quality & Safety as assigned.
- Utilizes software such as Tableau and SQL to create high-performing and actionable insights.
- Manages assigned projects in Tableau reporting website to ensure data is easily understandable and accurate.
- Assists in addressing internal support requests through the Halo ticketing system under supervision.
- Interacts with Decision Support Data Engineering team to understand data flows within a medical imaging organization.
- Participates in Tableau training sessions to understand how end-users engage with data tools.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Job Qualifications Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program in data science, business analytics, healthcare administration, or related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and tools
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to company goals
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications - Basic SQL knowledge
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar visualization tools
- Interest in healthcare data systems
Education/Certifications - Current enrollment in Bachelor's Degree program required or recent graduate.
