Our client is embarking on an Epicor Kinetic implementation and is seeking a hands-on Epicor Developer to play a key role in the technical delivery, customization, and long-term success of the platform.
This individual will serve as a technical champion for Epicor, working closely with IT leadership, the Project Manager, and business stakeholders to ensure the system aligns with the unique requirements of food manufacturing operations.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role where development, configuration, and system optimization will directly impact manufacturing execution, inventory control, compliance, and overall operational efficiency.
Act as the internal Epicor technical expert throughout the Epicor Kinetic implementation lifecycle
Partner with the Project Manager and implementation partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Lead and support data migration efforts, including master data, recipes/formulas, and historical transactional data
Configure Epicor to support food manufacturing requirements such as lot traceability, shelf-life tracking, allergen management, and quality controls
Design and develop Epicor BAQs, BPMs, Functions, dashboards, and customizations
Build reports and analytics supporting production efficiency, yield analysis, inventory turns, and regulatory compliance
Configure and enhance manufacturing execution workflows, including batch processing, recipe management, and quality checkpoints
Implement and support costing methodologies appropriate for food manufacturing (standard, actual, average)
Develop and support integrations with production equipment, WMS, quality systems, and external platforms
Ensure data integrity across manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and finance modules
Establish data validation and traceability protocols critical to food safety and recall readiness
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for Epicor Kinetic
Proactively optimize system performance, usability, and reliability
Train power users and create technical documentation and best practices
Stay current with Epicor releases and assess new functionality for business value
3+ years of hands-on Epicor Kinetic / Epicor ERP development experience
At least one full Epicor implementation cycle completed
5+ years of experience supporting food manufacturing environments
5+ years of process improvement experience
Strong understanding of Epicor architecture, database structure, and core modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, Finance)
Proven expertise with Epicor tools: BAQ Designer, BPM Designer, Dashboards, Epicor Functions
Solid understanding of food and beverage manufacturing processes
Knowledge of food industry requirements including lot traceability, recall management, and shelf-life control
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Experience with Epicor REST APIs and integration tools
Strong SQL Server skills, including complex query development
Knowledge of FDA and USDA food safety regulations
Experience supporting EDI integrations with customers and suppliers
Familiarity with MRP/MPS and production scheduling in food manufacturing
Experience with catch weight processing and yield management
Exposure to barcode, RFID, and mobile warehouse/manufacturing solutions
Epicor certification or formal Epicor training
Epicor Modules: Manufacturing Execution, Inventory Management, Quality Assurance, Product Configurator, Advanced Planning & Scheduling
Development Tools: Epicor Application Studio, Epicor Functions, Configurator Designer
Database: SQL Server, SSMS, performance tuning and data analysis
Integrations: REST APIs, EDI, flat-file interfaces
Nice to Have: WMS integration experience
