Job Description

Furnace and Duct Cleaning Technician – Sioux Falls, SD

Purpose :  Promote business growth and customer satisfaction by excelling in the completion of high quality and timely cleaning projects. Responsible for cleaning furnace and air ducts as well as mold remediation in both residential and commercial properties.

Essential Functions:

• Use specialized equipment to access furnace and duct system
• Set up and utilize equipment to perform the cleaning
• Clean furnace fans, coils, and dryer vents
• Perform demolition to access mold
• Utilize specialized equipment and cleaning materials to remove mold
• Cross-train to assist with other departments such as water mitigation and/or carpet cleaning

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in workmanship including the use of small tools
• Demonstrate reliable attendance with availability to occasionally work evenings, weekends and travel
• Communicate with a positive and empathic approach to customer interactions

• Respond positively to sudden changes. Apply flexibility and the ability to adjust quickly.

• Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicle and promptly report any service issues

Experience and Education:

• High School Graduate or GED Required
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Required
• Ability to pass a background check Required

Physical Demands

• Ability to bend, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, push, pull and carry objects. Comfortable with heights due to use of ladders and lifts
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly, and up to 100lbs occasionally, to perform job functions
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, conditions, and temperatures including both in the office and in the field. Comfortable in confined spaces such as attics and/or crawl spaces
• Ability to wear appropriate mask / suit and be exposed to mold
