This respected Community Medical Center in Southwestern Oregon is seeking an Inpatient Radiology Manager for an opportunity that blends hands-on leadership with meaningful operational oversight. The Inpatient Radiology Manager role is well-suited for an experienced imaging leader who enjoys staying close to the work while guiding a collaborative team.
The Inpatient Radiology Manager will join a not-for-profit, acute-care Community Medical Center that serves its region across multiple care sites and is known for consistent quality outcomes and patient-centered care. This organization quietly maintains strong performance metrics and compliance standards across diagnostic services, without making a big show of it. The Inpatient Radiology Manager will be part of a leadership group that values presence, accountability, and steady improvement over flash.
The Inpatient Radiology Manager reports directly to a Senior Director of Ancillary Services who is engaged, accessible, and deeply knowledgeable about imaging operations. In this Inpatient Radiology Manager role, leadership extends to a dedicated team of technologists, support staff, and travelers, while also working closely with physicians, department leaders, and administrative partners to keep services running smoothly. Collaboration is essential here, and relationships matter.
The Inpatient Radiology Manager oversees a busy diagnostic imaging department with a broad service mix and consistent volume, including CT, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and DEXA. Annual volumes include over 16,000 X-rays, 7,000+ CTs, and several thousand additional advanced imaging studies across modalities. The Inpatient Radiology Manager will lead a team of 26 total FTEs, including 14 core staff, with a group that demonstrates real camaraderie, mutual respect, and a supportive, professional energy even with travelers in the mix.
As a working leader, the Inpatient Radiology Manager remains clinically credible and able to step in when needed, supporting staff development, competencies, quality initiatives, and a just culture environment. On the administrative side, the Inpatient Radiology Manager is responsible for staffing, budgeting, operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and monitoring financial and volume metrics, while partnering with physicians and senior leadership to align imaging services with organizational goals.
The Inpatient Radiology Manager will live and work in a scenic Oregon coast community known for dramatic ocean views and an easy connection to the outdoors. Outside of work, the Inpatient Radiology Manager can enjoy salmon fishing, hiking, kayaking, whale watching, or quiet beachcombing on days off. The area also offers a relaxed social scene with local pubs, live music, and a pace of life that feels refreshing without feeling isolated.
This Inpatient Radiology Manager position offers Competitive Compensation and Generous Benefits, paired with the chance to make a visible, lasting impact on diagnostic imaging services for an entire coastal region. Few roles allow an Inpatient Radiology Manager to influence quality, culture, and patient access so directly, while still staying connected to the day-to-day work that matters most.
